It's Time For...The Grocery Game!
A Website Review

Do you hate trying to keep track of coupons? Seems like when you need something, you can't find a coupon for it. You can find plenty of coupons for things you don't need. Then there is the whole thing about clipping coupons and putting them into those little coupon organizers and then trying to fish them out while you are at the store.

Somebody finally invented a better mouse trap when it comes to coupons. Enter The Grocery Game. On this site you enter your zip code and then pick a local grocery store. From there you can print "Teri's List" and you get a break down of what's on sale that week, what the full price is and the percentage you save.

This alone makes it easier to shop the sales but then they throw in one more thing--coupon management. Instead of clipping individual coupons from the paper each week, they suggest you take the inserts and write a date across the front. Then file that insert by date in an expandable file folder. OK, so let's say you get "Teri's List" and it looks like this:
Food Regular Price Sale Price Coupon Found in
Insert on This Date
Percentage saved

So, each week the shopper prints Teri's List, gets out his or her expandable file and and then clips coupons for the sales that week. You can try The Grocery Game for a $1 trial at first to see if it works for you but after a time you will be charged $10 every 8 weeks. The charge is pretty reasonable if you are really using the service. Also, if you refer others you can get free weeks.
The Grocery Game takes a little time each week but think of it this way: If you are shopping for a family and spend an hour printing the list and clipping coupons and then maybe go to the store and save $50 to $100 that day-- How much did you make in that hour?
